About Us
Hybridtoys offers Custom Automotive & EV Conversions
“I was born into the Automotive scene some years ago, watching my father turn wrenches on his street cars, seeing that he could do so much with so little. Growing up in the Salvage yard industry gave me a keen eye to think out of the box for innovation and creating something just a little different. People tend to break their necks to take a double take and the unique and fun cars and trucks we have designed. We have a large customer base with no advertising other than the work itself. People have learned they can trust our work and frankly that’s the best type of advertisement we need.
You can probably tell by this about us section we are pretty personable, and customers are always welcome to use the contact page to send us any ideas they may have, and we will do our best to provide an estimate, or if we aren’t able to get things going for you, we will do our best to help you find someone that can. We are not a greedy shop and if someone else can serve you better we are happy to help connect you with them. We have no shortage of work to keep us busy. We like helping people out and building cool and fun projects when we can.
Do keep in mind EV’s are the new Wild west. As in, prices and availability change almost by the hour. Estimates are just a ballpark idea, an estimate on what we think your project would calculate out too with hours, parts, shipping and the ever dreaded “peripherals”, basically all the pieces needed to make it all work together. It’s tough to estimate custom work, as we don’t know who has had their hands on your project before we do. Honestly our initial business was started to fix “Shade tree” mechanics work. We are always happy to specifically point out any area of concern before we start.
Formed in 2006 and initially focusing on standard automotive repair we have morphed into a full-service Collision repair and Full Automotive Restoration shop. We started with a small garage helping those who could not afford to take their cars and trucks to dealers. After we have proved our self’s locally, with collision and standard automotive repair, then to hotrods and customizations, we have decided to move into the 24th Century by adding Electric Vehicles to our repertoire.
As we see the industry change and morph into a more environmentally friendly version of itself, we would be foolish to ignore it. It’s an exciting change with many roads to choose from. We are currently updating our training and equipment to deal with these specialty vehicles. Since we are a small shop, we have the choice to decide what project we take on. We are looking to move toward EV Conversions. Due to the Safety precautions and rapidly changing part availability and quality we are taking it slow to make the best decision for our customers who are interested in these conversions. Can we Convert your old Hot rod or daily driver? Absolutely, but we are more interested in making the best combination of affordability, reliability and cost. Anyone can order a kit for 40k and get reasonable power and reliability but not all of our customers have that kind of budget. This is where we come in, sourcing and vetting suppliers, keeping up with quality control and new breakthroughs is why our customers are choosing our services. We are not a “Pimp my ride” sort of shop. We lean more towards built it and make it reliable, without costing you an arm and a marriage, kind of shop.
Let us know if you have any questions, it doesn’t need to be EV related. We are currently building several good old fashion Hotrods with unique and updated personalized twists.”
